This is Gabriel Levine or more commonly known as Gabriel and the Hounds.Hou Gabriel’s debut album Kiss Full of Teeth was recorded for Communion around Brooklyn, where he is from, in living rooms, garages, and in proper studios including community stalwart Sea Side Lounge and The National’s garage studio in Ditmas Park. Gabriel has worked with a wide variety of performers in this album such as The National, Beirut, St Vincent, Sufjan Stevens,tUnE-yArDs,Bjork and Jonsi who are all featured.  Communion Records commented on his album saying it was “quiet intimacy of its genesis, a lo-fi field recorder, with the nuanced sounds of expensive microphones capturing the warmth of the orchestral players who expand the palette of the album.”
Although I haven’t listened to this album yet due to other commitments I am looking forward to sitting down, once buying it, listening and looking at this album as Communion have released it on vinyl. Additionally looking at the wide variety of performers who created this album with Gabriel it defiantly sounds like a good artist to watch out for.
